Aladdin 2026: A Lad In Trouble
Welcome to the 8th Pantomime from The Dramatic Villagers group, with as always, a terrific cast of both children and adults. This time round we will be telling the story of Aladdin, as he attempts to win the hand of the Princess and defeat the evil wizard Abanazzar with the help of his family, the genie of the lamp and the slave of the ring.
Please join us in the audience. We will once again be performing at Prestbury Hall, and you will be delighted to know that this has a bar …so even if panto is not your thing (and why not?) you can always drink the night away. As always profits from the bar, raffle, Ice creams and programme go to The James Hopkins Trust Providing nursing respite care for Gloucestershire’s life limited and life threatened young children. So please eat and drink and enjoy the panto.

Our Values
Our Values
At The Dramatic Villagers, our values guide how we work and interact with each other to create a vibrant, inclusive and respectful community.
We believe that together;:
- We Welcome
We create a welcoming environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We are kind, caring, appreciative, and considerate. - We Inspire
We encourage, support, and seek to improve, creating inspiring and fulfilling experiences for everyone. We learn from and with each other. - We Create
We are creative and innovative, thinking differently about how we work and handle challenges.
This Code of Conduct embodies these values and outlines the standards of behaviour expected of all members and volunteers at The Dramatic Villagers. It also details unacceptable behaviour and the procedures for addressing concerns.
Key Principles

We expect all members and volunteers to embody our values and adhere to this Code of Conduct, which outlines acceptable behaviour and what could lead to disciplinary action.
- Respect for Others: Treat all members, volunteers, audience members, and visitors with kindness, courtesy, and respect.
- Commitments: Honour all commitments made to The Dramatic Villagers and communicate promptly if circumstances change.
- Respect for Premises: Maintain the theatre’s appearance by keeping it clean, tidy, and professional.
- Collaboration and Creativity: Work together to create an inclusive and innovative space that reflects our values of inspiration and creativity.
Equal Treatment and Inclusion
We are committed to ensuring that all members and volunteers receive equal treatment regardless of:
- Gender, including gender reassignment
- Marital or civil partnership status
- Sexual orientation
- Race, colour, ethnic or national origins
- Religion or belief
- Pregnancy or maternity
- Disability
Casting Decisions: All casting decisions are made without discrimination, except where a genuine artistic requirement exists.
Discrimination: We oppose both direct and indirect discrimination.
- Direct Discrimination: Treating someone less favourably because of one or more of the above characteristics.
- Indirect Discrimination: Policies or practices that inadvertently disadvantage a group with shared characteristics.
Reasonable Adjustments: If you consider yourself disabled under the Equality Act 2010 and this affects your ability to participate, please speak to a Board member. We will explore reasonable adjustments to enable your involvement.
Harassment and Bullying
The Dramatic Villagers does not tolerate harassment or bullying. Harassment includes any unwanted conduct that violates a person’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, unsafe, degrading, or offensive environment.
Examples of harassment include (but are not limited to):
- Physical Conduct: Unwanted touching, physical threats, or coercion for sexual favours.
- Verbal Conduct: Insults, critical nicknames, abusive language, or unwelcome advances.
- Non-Verbal Conduct: Displaying or sharing pornographic, suggestive, or offensive materials (except in connection with a production for artistic purposes), offensive gestures, or other inappropriate objects or written material.
- Bullying: Offensive, intimidating, humiliating, or demeaning behaviour intended to undermine or distress an individual.
Intent does not excuse harassment or bullying; the impact on the individual is what matters.
